Just played the #3-ranked runner-up to the NC. With no offensive support, our defense gave us a chance to stay in this thing til the 4th quarter.

Offensively, we could not do anything. We will know next week just how good the Clemson defense really is. We simply couldn't get any real traction beyond the 4th quarter when we went old school and grinded out an 11-play, 89 yard drive. In that drive, the offense demonstrated that 1) it was capable once it got a toehold and 2) they weren't going to quit.

Either the Clemsom defense is just THAT good or we just aren't back to '14-level efficiency - maybe a bit of both. Again, we may see next week that Clemson is the best defense we face all year. I think that may be the case.

In 2014 we came off an emotional win at home and proceeded to lose back to back games to Duke and UNC. Those losses propelled us to an incredible run through the month of November. Perhaps this game can have the same impact - we've seen this offense do well against FBS competition. Tonight we met the upper echelon of FBS and stayed scrappy.

I reserve judgment until next weekend. I think we will win in a close one. Day game at home against Miami is good for us. I like how our defense is playing and think they will continue to give us chances to win.

Flame on you summer soldiers and sunshine patriots, we will win at least 8 this year.

The Defense played fairly well considering the circumstances. They started out poorly but tightened up. The score at the end of the first half was due to exhaustion and deflation after the pick-safety.

Think we can still win a lot of games. Clemson is tough. Just did not expect the abysmal performance of the offense.

8 yards in a half is actually terrible. Yikes!

Fire is what makes steel, not fluffers. Ya learn way more from failure, success is just validation.

I bet JT5 is wishing he went to play Defensive Back at Bama right about now...

Don't be fooled... our defense is not very good.

Louisville will smoke Clemson next week if Clemson plays as poorly as they did this week on offense.

Who knows about their D. Hard to tell when our OL sucks so bad.

Georgia Tech has the worst Power 5 Sports Program - bar none. It was on display tonight.

Not our best game. We will always look like shit against teams of Clemsons caliber when we don't play our best.

Their D is too big up front, too strong, and too deep

The 11 play drive was created by running off tackle. That play was there most of the night. We could have gotten two long drives together by running there, but got cute instead.

And I get the playcall. I am OK with trying to get a cheap one. But after you just got things going, that trick play showed a lack of faith.
