official 2009/ 2010 recruiting thread

I'm sure this has been asked before but now that we're up to 10 commits out of 12 (maybe call it 13 now with the recent transfer of Kamaron Riley, others might know if he was on scholarship or not) and Ryan White has, for the moment, been ruled ineligible, who are the ones who are likely to fill the remainder, like a top 5 remaining kind of thing?

I would guess
1 Tyrone Cornelius
2 Jake Skole
3 Kony Ealy
4 Synjyn Days (assuming White can't get in)
5 Chase Hughes

Is that in order of likelihood or the order they rolled of the top of your head?

I know we would take
Skole
Cornelius

Then I think we will still take
Ealy

We may offer Days depending on what happens with White.

While your still around responding to stuff due you know if Riley was on scholarship or not?

Also, according to the AJC, we won't be seeking any more commitments at this point do to a nearly full quota.

Inelgible = not being elgible to play this season for his high school team. Not being admitted by NCAA = not getting into any D1 program. Not getting into Tech = transcripts do not meet admissions requirements for GT only. Do not judge the young man yet.

I like Days. He has a big body build. He has good speed in the high 4.4 or low 4.5. He runs a offense very similar to this in HS. Could play B back or S if QB didn't work out. I hope he gets a commitable offer.

Runs in the high 4.5's - low 4.6's.

Would pretty much be a wolf 'backer if QB didnt work out.

I've always wondered, how does one recruit a good b back?

Our average player ranking on rivals is 5.73
Which is number two in our conference I believe.

Keep forgetting that Charles Perkins and B.J. Bostic are graduating HS early.

Speaking of graduating early, did you all see that one of Florida's 2010 recruits is actually attending UF this year? And going to practices? Has not signed his LoI, but still able to practice. That is unreal.

So I guess it was inevitable that the process would eventually encourage some recruit somewhere would decide to skip his senior year altogether, and it looks like that someone is 2010 Florida commit Stephen Alli ($), a native Canadian who played high school ball in New Hampshire and apparently plans to enroll in Gainesville today, a full year ahead of his classmates:
Instead of waiting until 2010 to arrive in Gainesville, the 6-foot-5, 208-pound wide out will instead enroll at Florida Tuesday afternoon and may be able to suit up when the team begins fall practice on Thursday.
[...]
Alli told the site Gatorbait that his Proctor [Academy] grade-point average of between a 3.7 and 3.8 helped him clear the eligibility hurdles to enroll early, something to which the UF coaches were receptive.
