Yep. Coach sets the tone for the team and the tone is bend over and take it like a soy boy.

Alright so, the time management at the end there was godawful, and he has always had that issue, a lot like Mike Smith for the Falcons.

But, I don't know how anyone can actually be too upset about that first half.

Pros
-how about that dline!!!!
-kicker had a leg
-Sims completion %
-offensive playcalling
-coverage sacks
-touchbacks

Cons
-presnap penalties
-clock management
-blocked punt

So, we even talked about it on here about no official special teams coach, blocked punt is shit.

The end of the half clock management, garbage, he's been garbage with time management and it looks like he's hasn't learned anything.

Way too many presnap penalties on the oline, same ole shit.

Sims looks good.

Defense looks great.

Kicker looks good.

Playcalling looks good. I think he needs to adjust to speed, but as elcid posted a couple of those screen passes could have been huge gains with efforts from #72.

This is the #4 team in the country and we are beating the vegan and pundit expectations so far.

The biggest takeaway for me, though, from the first half, is that just looking at the players for each team, I don't feel like they are just bigger, stronger, faster than our guys, this is the second most talented team we'll play all year, and I don't see an enormous gap.

Going into the 2nd half, I think we have the better qb, probably only on field advantage. Can Long find a way to score,
 
What I don't understand is how we keep shooting ourselves in the foot on offense. 4 years of baffling ineptitude that has so little to do with play calls.
