If we had a good punter I could understand it. From that distance a good punter could stick them inside the five pretty easily.

Yep. Strategy like that is for a 24-24 tie in the early 3rd, not for a "we gonna lose anyway". Terrible choice to punt.

Because we are a horrible team. Charlie Thomas is a safety on every other P5 team. For us, he's our best LB.
