Punt wouldn't help you much in terms of yards. If you get the first its game over. FG has more of a chance for a big play the other way. And you are up 14 with 90 sec left and no time outs.

A run gives you a chance to score or gain the first down and only lost 3 yards compared to a TB. Missed FG would've given them the ball on the 40. I can see the reasoning but I wanted the FGA for Butker.

Up by 14 and UVA had no more time outs. So running a play kills at least 40 seconds. It was the right call. I wouldn't expect you to understand.
