There were definitely 2 seconds left on the clock when that pass was incomplete, and if it had been any other situation, the clock would have stopped 2 seconds quicker than it did. But the person running the clock deliberately let it run off, obviously knowing they would change it, but it adds one more potential element of controversy and bullshit to the spectacle because obviously football is not enough.

Yeah, there was no way the game was going to end there and they ran it down to :00, knowing that. And whoever triggers the "FINAL" thing on ESPN's scorebug did the exact same thing. It's cheap television bullshit.

Stupid rule that a winning team with the ball who gets a player injured stops the clock until the next snap. So now we know what to do if someone is running out the clock on us. Hurt someone. In tonight’s situation you should start a 25 second countdown when the injured player gets off the field.
