Official postgame: We WON!!!!

A song that marching bands played in the 70’s. It has no magical powers.
The Band plays it after every event they're at. It has a whole dance and routine to it that you should see in person the next time you're at a game (basketball and volleyball too I think). The tradition is that no one is allowed to play after the Horse is played or we will lose to Duke (when we used to play Duke every year). This also makes it impossible to rehearse The Horse.

Yeah, I assume it’s the mad scramble part of the Horse that’s particularly problematic when there’s a crowd on the field. It’s not just that they’re playing a song, and there’s certainly no copyright nonsense driving not playing it - the band plays all kinds of songs that are audible on TV with no worries.

I also agree that at some point, especially when it’s approaching midnight, the AA just wants to get everybody out so they can shut down the stadium.

I watched a YouTube stream from KQ where a band member asked him to let people know that it was the AA that told them not to play, and I assume it was a combination of the reasons above.

Who would think running around in a crowded open field is more dangerous than running around in crowded bleachers?

If you'd bet $100 on the GT moneyline each week this season you'd have made $883.

Calculated that for fun using the BetMGM moneyline odds on vegasinsider.com. If not for the Miami miracle win though you'd only have made $83.
