We are really getting creative in the absurd losses to them, I’ll say that much.

At least refs weren’t grabbing players off the pile and then a uga player runs away with the ball and they call it a TD this time.

At least we didn’t lose track of downs this time.

At least we only pissed away a 17 point lead instead of a 20 point lead like in 2013.

At least we didn’t lose 51-7 or 45-0.

There are more I’m sure but I’m too tired to think of them. Guess we can add the “clearly a fumble on the goal line that wasn’t really a fumble?” to the list now.

I agree! Of course, my pessimist ass wasn’t giving us much a chance to begin with. Glad we dominated in regulation at least. UGA fans should be embarrassed that they barely eked it out.

I can say "typical Tech". Going from 4 DL to 3 DL in the 4th instead of playing out the ööööing game with what got you there. We did the same damn thing against NC State and almost lost. And with the game win in our grasp a few times in OT, we conveniently forget we have running backs playing on offense. Hell, we are a run damn first team acting like we were a passing team. There are no special damn plays to get 1.5 yards to win it after that PI. Hand the damn ball off. You hand the ööööing ball off to a RB and block your ass off.

We have ööööing got to install some short yardage under center plays. FB, RB.

Key does a lot of blustering about running the bawl but when it came time to put your money where your mouth is we were passing from the gun.

We had multiple chances to run the ball after we stopped UGA and we went away from it.
 
Not sure what to even say. I'm numb. I'm a young fan, just in my 20s. This is easily the most heartbroken I've felt after a Tech game. Just gut-wrenching to get that effort from our guys, a Herculean performance from King...and still can't pull it out.

We are so far removed from the 52-7 and 45-0 Collins era drubbings. My favorite thing about Brent Key so far after 2 full years is that his teams come to play against these guys, and they absolutely do not back down at all. Such a gritty effort, and I am so proud to call them my team.

On the other hand...there are no moral victories, and this loss makes me never want to watch football again.

lol you are too young to remember a lot of the pre-Collins era games. Losing heartbreaking games to the mutts is a way of life. Only one way to change it…

It’s not just the holding. It’s the fscemasks, it’s the tick tack 4th down PI on a piped ball. It’s the missed spearing or targeting WHICH IS REVIEWABLE. It’s the fumble that wasn’t. It’s spotting the ball for a first down when Beck stepped out short of the line to gain on the tying drive. It was so ööööing much this game.

Credit to Key for getting the players ready to play. Missed first half opportunities and prevent D in the second half caused the loss. Gotta win to be great. Maybe next year.

Really would have liked to see a run when UGA didn’t convert on a 2pt. You have everything to gain in that situation and nothing to lose. That’s the time to roll the dice on a run… in fact, that’s exactly how UGA won the game. I was calling for Tech to try it like 5 OTs earlier.

The run after the PI wasn’t a good example… because everyone knew we’d run there. Mistake was a beat up King keeping. Should have handed to Singleton and he walks in.
 
I was at the Sun Bowl game against Utah. Going into OT, I felt like it was an absolute stone dead lock we'd lose. Tonight was the only other OT I've felt that. Hit an easy field goal or don't butt fumble it on 3rd and 1 when you're running out the clock or don't preposterously lose contain on 3rd and 9 when UGAg is on the ropes and the game never goes to OT.

A GD butt fumble. Haven't we suffered enough as a fan base under Geoff Collins already?
