Official To HELL with the dwags postgame thread

No moral victory's, still proud of the boys. They played their a$$es off. SeCheat refs can burn in you no where.

With the biased announcers we had, I missed the obvious holding and probable targeting. The pass interference was stupid, even I saw that. We played a great game against a team that is considered the best in the land. Tough to lose when one play would have won it. But it was highly entertaining to watch and exciting. Some knucklehead said he had rather lose 50-0 - not me. I don't expect GT football to be able to win all games against top 5 opponents. Heck, we already won one this year. We keep being competitive like this and we will win our share. The SEC is overrated or we are underrated, one of the two because UGA was extremely fortunate - they really got beat by us. Go Jackets!!!!

Did not like the play call in OT after UGA was called for PI on our TE. King ran the QB keeper up the middle and was stonewalled. What has worked all year and in last night’s game was the option of giving it to the dive back or the QB keeping it around the end. I know King scored one TD on that play last night.

It also would’ve helped if the refs spotted the ball on the 1 instead of almost the 2 (half the distance I’m guessing) like the rules and they said they should do. Just sayin.

But yes I agree I would’ve preferred that or any handoff to the RB.

If you’ve ever been in a car wreck of significant impact, then you know that feeling 24-48 hours after the impact; headache, neck pain, your teeth hurt, etc. That’s how I feel this morning.

Looking back over the game thread, I posted on multiple occasions that my heart rate was 114+, hitting 119 at one point. I was tense most of the game and I’m sure I’m not alone in saying I was emotionally spent at the end.

This one is going to hurt for a while, possibly more so than any other COFH loss. I may not watch another college football game until our bowl game. I need a brisk walk out in the cold this morning to help shake it off.

Our guys fought like hell, and I’m proud of the effort, game prep, coaching, players. But damn, you’ve got to win a game like this.

THWG then, now, forever.

Should have gone wide.

Even if he did that’s not anywhere in the rule, he still used the crown of his helmet with 2 additional indicators: forcible to the head or neck area and lowering his head before initiating contact.
Correct. Then simple fact that the crown of the helmet was the initial point of contact is just one of about 4-5 instances used to define the rule. Harping on that though just makes us sound like a bunch of whining bee itches. We should have done a better job protecting the ball and protecting our QB in that situation.

I really thought we should have gone for 2 at the end of the first overtime. These marathon multiple OT shootouts suck. Go for 2 at the end if you know it gets you the win.

This one really hurts. Didn’t sleep last night, don’t think my heart rate has dropped yet. Still lying here in athens trying to pick my body up and get out of dodge. Should’ve never gone to overtime, that’s what it comes down to.

May not be able to stomach any more football this week. Would really love it, though, if we could somehow squeeze into a meaningful bowl matchup and have a shot at redemption. Here’s to hoping for Michigan in Charlotte.

My six year old just now, who was in my arms til the bitter end of the game last night: “even the ref school is stupid in Athens”. I effing love this kid.
I really wanted him to be able to go rub shit in his classmates faces on Monday, all the kids whose parents aren’t from georgia and/or went to Emory and who are Kansas City chiefs fans. Those kids.

Key does a lot of blustering about running the bawl but when it came time to put your money where your mouth is we were passing from the gun.

We had multiple chances to run the ball after we stopped UGA and we went away from it.
Bc they were stopping all runs through the middle and we had trouble getting even 2-½ yards on the short field

Here is a novel idea. Don’t run it up the middle.

The RB was wide open for a score if King hands him the ball instead of rushing the pile.
Yeah, the jet sweep was open on that one, but you're being a douche
