OFFICIAL UCF game week discussion thread

I think UCF was postponed yesterday. Supposed to be nice Saturday. We are gonna need the indoor facility this week. Looks like rain every day clearing out Saturday

I’m cautiously optimistic, but believe UCF is a much better team than FSU. They’re well-coached and will be playing with chips on their shoulders. We can’t afford the penalties or miscues this week.

How many fans are they letting in?

Just adding the 247 team recruiting rankings.

2016: FSU = 3, UCF = 65 (GT = 60)
2017: FSU = 6, UCF = 55 (GT = 48)
2018: FSU = 11, UCF = 62 (GT = 44)
2019: FSU = 18, UCF = 60 (GT = 50)
2020: FSU = 22, UCF = 75 (GT = 27)
Lol. It would be nice if everyone played comparatively to FSU based on recruiting rankings, but it probably won't be that easy.

This will be a bigger challenge than FSU. Need to figure out special teams FAST. Growth for Sims will take more time, but you can’t leave 7 points on the field like we did this week.
Agreed. This is a team where we can't afford to leave kick offs in the field of play. Our kick coverage just isn't there. Kick it out the back, take away the short passing routes, and see if we can get home with pressure to throw off the accuracy on deep throws.

UCF has a reputation for getting all they can out of their recruiting. A very impressive program. This will be a more difficult game than FSU which is doing what FSU has done for some years now....squandering highly ranked recruiting classes. It is kind of like what former Florida coach Steve Spurrier used to say about Georgia. They have all these highly ranked players coming in.... (then, with his signature smirk) I don't know what happens to them."

There is absolutely no question our two-star injury replacements kicked the living Hell out of their four-star injury replacements.

A guy at the bagel place came up to me this morning and öööö-talked me because I was wearing a Tech shirt. His official position was "Ya'll have a good school and whatever, but you aren't prepared for our speed." I was so taken aback by UCF trash talk that I just told him "I hope you don't cancel again."

Also, how many Jucos and transfers does UCF take? Are they basically following the 90's and 00's Kansas State blueprint of taking the castoffs into the commuter school?
