Could be the case, Miss St. game does validate that point some. Would be preferrable in fact, I think, other than paying a d coordinator who is not really doing much coordinating.I think Collins is a defensive guy and more than likely has a huge part of the way they play defense. I think collins not there to make defensive adjustments is a HUGE loss. look at Miss St in 14.
They've coached with the interim several years, its not like he's totally new to them or running different schemes from what they have all season.Those same defensive coaches coached against USF under Collins, and did a much better job than our defense did. What was our excuse?
USF was our 2nd game under a new d coordinator running a totally different scheme than the previous d coordinator, and at least two of the TD given up in that game were not the defense's fault.
