Official Week 1 Thursday AND Friday Night Games Thread

Just home from Army-Duke. About thirty - five of us from our church traveled together supporting a young man from our church and community that is a Junior defensive lineman for Army. Duke stopped the option running game well with 8 or 9 in the box. Army missed two field goals and lost two fumbles in addition to a couple of illegal blocking penalties to kill drives. Army started throwing and passed for 200 yards. Duke’s QB is all ACC caliber. He was terrific tonight. I enjoyed being in the Army section, lots of alums were there and they were really good fans. The tape from this game should help us. We will need to throw early against them to keep their defense honest.
