OL Improvement in UNC Game

Ya know, I was just thinking that, sometimes, it only takes one really good O-Lineman to make a huge difference in the overall OL play. Think back to Refrigerator-Mover { https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Davis_(offensive_lineman) } - I can still hear Al Ciraldo saying, "Biiiggg John Davis up over the football" - and Shaq Mason - and I'm sure there are many others from the years when we had good OL's. Those men made a HUGE difference in our OL and TEAM success!

Someone on here said it earlier, that those players elevate the play of the rest of the line. May it be this weekend and for the rest of this season, that we have a consistent, present, vocal leader on the OL that elevates our OL to greatness!!

Go Jackets!! Beat the poo poo out of the Hoo Hoos!!
idk about the first, but what I remember hearing in regards to Shaq Mason making such a singular difference, it wasn't something of ability but rather that as the senior guy he was the one talking with Sewak and Johnson about what the opposition was doing for them to make the tweaks they sometimes would mid-game. Perhaps Williams does something similar?

Shaq started in a Superbowl because ability.

My take is the OL played better in the UNC game than probably any other
game this season. But UNC's defense is pretty bad plus their defense had given
out in the 4th quarter and our offensive coaches saw this and went to a hurry
up offense which further stressed out UNC's defense. When Dontae Smith came
into the game he was fresh which also helped GT's offense immensely. I am
hoping GT will from now on use all three RB's; Smith, Haynes and Cooley in
the rest of the games this season for depth purposes.

If only GT had beaten Bowling Green and Boston College, the team would be
6-2, with a chance to have a really good season, oh well onto the UVA game,
I said before the season that this game would be tough, simply because UVA
is hard for GT to beat in Charlottesville.

THWG!!!
