OL Jordan Johnson decommits

He's butthurt that the cop doesn't care who he is or if he commits? sounds like a ööööö, we dont need any more of those on the OL
 
Obviously, we don't know any details, but think about how silly this is. Normally, a person makes a big life decision by focusing on the people who they will interact with on a daily basis and how their goals in life can best be fulfilled. Most people know that wherever they go, they will encounter some authority jerks along the way. He's probably 18 years old and has not had many interpersonal conflicts, but a normal response to this would be to bring it to the attention of the coaches or administrators. If he did that, he'd probably get more satisfaction from the outcome than by dropping a vague accusation and quitting his recruitment. Maybe someone will step up and guide him through this before he makes a decision. Then again, maybe this was just an excuse on his part.

Agree with this completely. I don't have access to threads in the recruiting board at the hive, does anyone who does know whether he posted any more in that thread?
 
These are the same gtpd that "handled" the puke / gt rain delay.

I'm with Akinji on this one. If he's gonna be like that, he and his feelings can go elsewhere.
 
It seems an easy call or talk with any of the other minority players would convince him whether it's the norm or not.
 
As most have already stated, there's not enough information here to really know what's going on. I would think that one of the first things that would happen is someone on the coaching staff, if not CPJ himself, would contact the kid and find out what's going on… First and foremost.

Unless, of course, contacting a committed recruit is not allowed right now.

Surely that post on the hive about his decommitment wasn't his actual decommitment. Right? Like, he would have contacted CPJ or the staff to at least let them know first, right?

It all begins and ends at the top. This is Paul Johnson's team, he's responsible for the recruits and if this kid was racially profiled on his watch, the blame lies with the head coach. And I won't stand for my HC racially profiling innocent recruits.
