Need someone other than TDope making the next hire (if it comes to that). TDope’s sphere of influence seems to be limited to former O’Leary guys. Not too mention getting pantsed with contract negotiations.

I'd guess the coaching search would be different this time around since we're not built for the specific-ness of the triple option. The change to a different offense was probably not something a lot of coaches were seeking out. Plus, there might be more money available by the time the next coach is hired, so the salary would be more attractive.

I really hope you're wrong, but I could see that. I think him having to write this kind of letter in year 3 is pressure enough that year 4 needs to be exceptional to consider staying on this course.

I'm sure we could find a decent contract attorney / negotiator. I don't get how the former regime had performance bonuses but this time we left them out?

Good Catch! As engineers we know that having more or larger "margin for error"(a good thing) means having a lower probability of failure.
What kind of goofball could write this letter and get this totally bass-ackwards?
Since our own AD Stansbury seems clueless about the clown's illusional margins and leverages, imagine how confused the SA's must be in that screwed up lockerroom........

Once we no longer have a chance at 6 wins, we need to change AD's. The new AD lines up a new coach and fires Collins once the buyout drops.
I cannot imagine the implosion if we finish with less than six wins and this does not happen.

Damnit…..hoping the letter of resignation was in but it’s just a bump. Someone should go back and repost all of the early Tstan and Clown quotes from the beginning of this clown show just to see how they aged.

Nah, the Collins cuppers would melt down and big cry all over the board.

TStan was an IM major. Quite obviously. And his margin for error in his job has indeed been shrunk significantly.

I don’t think there are any Collins cuppers left. There are a few really good Tech fans left who stand by him because he is still the coach, but it’s not enthusiastic support which is the tell that they just support Tech. I commend them for that.

I stand by the players and the football team in general. I don't stand by Collins at all.
 
I would like to receive a letter explaining why we are playing our Spring game on a Winter Thursday night. I presume there is a brilliant reason for this unique decision.
 
Let's just hope "working together" means an ass chewing where Collins is told to stop masquerading as a model, get off the steroids and at least act like a coach on the sideline. Let Long basically run things and get out of the way, as he appears to be an adult. And while Dean Wermer is at, tell Collins to totally banish the money down, ATL and 404 BS, rap music everywhere, weight lifting in the end zones and other nonsense. It is one thing to get your teeth kicked in, and yet another to become a laughingstock while doing it.

remember,this comes from the same brains that took the responsible party for
giving up 55 & 45 points and promoted him from Co-DC to DC....SMH
