Other than the actual game…

That was a weird neutral site game last night. Louisville had no band and only a few cheerleaders, and all their people seemed to be in one quarter of the stadium while we were loosely occupying the rest. Seems like we had maybe a 2:1 fan advantage or better.

Nobody in the seats behind the Louisville bench probably looked bad on TV. Attendance was 36,101, which is pretty atrocious.

It almost seemed like a “home game” since our band did the whole pregame and halftime - other than a few L’ville graphics and piped in fight song, it was our venue, although it didn’t feel like we had a home advantage in terms of noise. Was disappointed that the band didn’t play after our last two 2Q scores because they were going down to the field.

I’m still annoyed at the seat downgrade I get for these games, any financial benefit I’d which is now going to pay off the salaries of the dumbasses who scheduled them.

Totally agree. Other than cheaper food and free refills, I hate pretty much everything else about that place.

The food is pretty good and cheap, and the seats are reasonably comfortable, but that’s about all I can say that’s good.

They even had the roof closed on a pleasant night. I can’t think of any game we’ve played there that wouldn’t have been better at BDS.

Agree, the empty seats behind the UL bench was a bad look and made things feel off kilter in the stadium. I wonder why their fans in corner couldn’t sit there? Were those set aside for Tech fans, maybe?

Paying only 10 bucks for a chicken sandwich and fries was a pleasant surprise, I must say.

When we played Tennessee there I thought it was a good atmosphere. Has to be a big opponent.

Tennessee was a *REAL* OOC kickoff game, not these dumb fake games with conference opponents, that we are trading actual home games for. Probably helped that we were coming off of the season that we beat UGA, and it was a renewal of a long dormant SEC rival.

These fake kickoff games need to end.

It definitely seemed the PA announcer was more favorable to UL - which was obnoxious with the flashing red make some noise when our offense was out.

Exactly. I envisioned those games being renewals of old SEC rivalries like Auburn, Florida, and another rematch against Tennessee. Those would have been so much better than games against Louisville, UNC, and Clemson.

yeah when big mo started swinging their way stupid card fans all over the big screen.
