It's definitely Clemson for a lot of reasons already stated. It is clear that their defense is a big issue for us lately and the main reason for our last two losses. They are still a rival though. If you think the W/L record dilutes a rivalry, how would anybody explain those choking fags to the East?

FSU would have been third in pre-expansion, now it is VT. I don't really give a öööö about Miami, UNC is more of a rival.

I miss the FSU games but the divisions are not going to change anytime soon.

I agree with UGA being 1st and Clemson 2nd. Unfortunately, GT can't compete with either one right now.

Clemson. It should be noted that Tech has lost 8 of last 9 games to Miami.

Who do you hate most? I expect UGAg to be number 1 for everyone, but I want to see who our second biggest rival is.
Historically, it has been Clemson although we have actually played Duke the most. It's kind of hard to "hate" Clemson. Unlike Miami or Virginia Tech they don't have the same kind of fan base that those two seem to display year after year. Miami is the absolute worst but VIPSU is getting there. For old times sake, I will go with Clemson. Also, we have more truly memorable exciting games with Clemson than the other two put together.

I know, right. We’ve only beaten the Dwags 2 out of the last 4. Terrible. Only won 2 in a row in Athens. Dire times.
What’s our record vs Clemson the last 4 games?

I used to really dislike Clemson, but once it become obvious that their program had ascended to another level, I finally accepted it and actually find them fairly likable now. I still enjoy the annual wtf game they have, though.

Clemson is easier to like because they are in the Atlantic. They try to play around 2 SEC teams a year so we can always cheer for them OCC. In conference play, any win they have over coastal teams helps us. Anyone remember Clemson beating Miami in 2009? Yeah that got us in the account championship game. Combine this with reasonable fans that are typically very nice and you have a school that is much harder to hate. If they were in the coastal, I would only like them in OCC games.

For me, most of the hate for Miami has to do with the fanbase, not really the program. I hate the VPI, UNC, and FSU programs much more than Miami

It has been Clemson. That being said, although we still play them every year, and have a longer history with them than VPI or DaU, we're not in the same division. I'd have to go with VPI -primarily based upon a few years back when it was either us or them winning the Coastal every year.

Just because team isn't in your division doesn't mean they're more or less of a rival IMO. Miami/FSU, Ugag/Auburn, and Bama/UTjr are huge rivals and aren't in the same division. Clemson/USCjr, UK/UL, Florida/FSU, and GT/Ugag aren't even in the same conference. I would imagine much has to do with age and geography as to who one considers a rival and where they rank.
