#OurRecruitingSucks

run a system that OL prospects want to come to. Thats the issue. If he modified his offense for a more pure zone scheme, which you can, it would be a ton better in recruiting and pass pro...but...oh wait..nevermind.
You're not wrong, but at that point it's a completely different offense. The "equalizer" part of our option is due to getting numbers advantages that nullify talent disadvantages. We couldn't run the same plays anymore if we switched to zone blocking with narrower splits.

That's never going to happen with Paul Johnson, and nor should it. You don't hire somebody like that if you don't want him to run his offense. That's like hiring Mike Leach and telling him to run the ball more. When we're at the point where we need to abandon the offense, it's time to abandon the coach.

I don't know what system was in place previously, but I'm hoping the new transfer database the NCAA set up will make it much easier for schools to identify and recruit guys that were riding the bench at factories and want out after using their four redshirt games. The big name transfers would be out in the open anyways but anything that can consolidate the list of guys we can go after is great. Everyone benefits of course, but especially those with less "analysts" and such like Tech

GT gets very few transfers to begin w/ due to the academic side of things. That won't change with the new redshirt rules.

Thing is, it also impacts recruiting for the D.

And why does sewak have a lifetime contract?

They're private, and their major offerings are not controlled by a coalition of UF season ticket holders.
UVA is a public university of pretty decent reputation, too.

Honest question here: Are we better positioned for the next few years than they are?
