Parole Officer Richt = worthless, classless SOB

If Gailey pulled this kind of crap I would be royally pissed even if we did beat Georgia. I expect us to win and do it the right way.

Anti-Gailey propaganda thread? Please take a look at my posting history, I have never thrown out anti-Gailey propaganda.

To me, the term propaganda implies rhetoric that is used repeatedly in order to avoid facing the real issue.

I have been objective for 6 years. I'll give him the fact that he has had some bad luck this year. I love the fact that his players are generally of good character and are well coached as young men. I am proud of this fact. I would rather this than a winning team with a bunch of criminals and a crooked coach.

However, I just have a gut feeling that he is done. A lot of this has to do with the landscape having changed with DRad (who I have loved since he got Louisville taken off of our schedule) as AD. I think Gailey can lose to VT. However, he absolutely has to win the last 3 games this season in order to stay.

I'll be rooting for the entire program all the way. Consider my last 2 posts a gut feeling from a young alumnus who has been following the program, with fervor, for over 20 years.

Winning the right way??!!? Who here would have a problem with Gailey sending the players onto the field after a touchdown on their way to winning a huuuuuuuuuge game, like ga? I guarantee the board would be filled with excitement and positivity. No one would be Sir Buzzkillington and bring up how classless it was.

There was nothing ill willed or negative about their celebration. There was no helmet throwing, violence, taunting, dog fighting, or anything negative. It was all about lifting their spirits, not rubbing it in Florida's face.

If we did the same thing, I am 100% sure that everyone in the Tech family would think it was a stroke of genius. EVERYBODY.

You woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. You're dead wrong about everyone wanting gailey to something like that. It was totally classless. I'm convinced now that Richt is a spineless puscatore - first after that Vandy thing and now this. He let some sports talk radio jocks and newspaper journalists push him into not being so laid back with things. So, to prove a point, he takes to the field to get in some kids face after am emotional win for them. Granted those kids showed no class then but to do what he did to show the world that he is a "tough guy" is about as spineless as you can get being almost 50 years old..And now this classless act of telling his team to storm the field after a touchdown.

Richt doesn't have a spine and is a total puscatore.

If you truly believe that you are one of two things:
1. a dawg fan
2. retarded

Check that those two are fairly synonymous.

There was no helmet throwing, violence, taunting, dog fighting, or anything negative.

They got flagged 15 yards for taunting in addition to the 15 yard unsportsmanlike, so there was, in fact, taunting. You could also argue that there was dog fighting, if you are in an especially corny mood.

I don't think Gailey would ever encourage this particular stunt, and that suits me just fine. I also believe that the type of kid we are going after doesn't need to be allowed to act like an idiot to be motivated to come to play for the full 60 minutes.

That said, Chan Gailey has demonstrated not the slighest clue in how to get his teams ready to play at an inspired level.
I am not saying we have never come off the blocks hard in his time, but am saying that I doubt he has had anything to do with it.

Maybe Richt has come to understand that his group does run the asylum, and might as well open the door to the cage.

Is there no one here that would love to see Gailey try to evoke that kind of emotion?

If we did that, I'd be calling for the head coach's head (because Richt admitted that orchestrated that whole circus). It's classless and bush league no matter who does it! I'd be ready to get up and walk out of the stadium if we pulled a stunt like that. Show a little class/sportsmanship and act like you've been there before. That crap yesterday let everyone around the nation see what kind of thugs UGA lets run their program.

Richt apparently threatened with early morning sprints if they didn't get a personal foul called. Man, that's rich.

It was not a classy move on their part, I agree. But to hear to hear you tell it, its as if they went to the Florida sideline and pissed on the loafers of the Urban Legend.

A stunt like last night is reserved for desperate occasions, such as when you have effectively not "been there before" against your arch rival. Ahem.

I think the important point in all of this is how calculated this unsportsmanlike conduct was. Its one thing for a guy to spike a ball or flip into the endzone but when a coach orders a team to behave in such a way I think he doesn't deserve to lead young men in college football. The spirit of NCAA ball is much different than the professional equivalent and any sliding scale in the SEC or any other conference is unacceptable.

In regards to our game we should honor the teams that beat UGA midfield before the game. Or maybe honor players from every nat'l championship team. Theres plenty of ways to get fired up without being classless.

I bet Calvin is at the UGA game this year. Since the Lions play on Thanksgiving, he will have free time....

The biggest problem I have with it is that is was dangerous. A full fledged brawl could of easily broken out. I honestly feel like the SEC should sanction richt in some way.

What about Joe Hamilton? I'd love to see the Goose back too but I think UCF has a game that day as well so that wouldn't work. The flyby during Miami last year was really cool and I remember Bobby Dodd getting real loud when they introduced the aviators during the game.

On a related note I thought one of the coolest things ever before a game was when Kim King rode out onto the field in the back of the Wreck right before he passed.

What came to mind after seeing the extent of the bashing of cmr's move is the near universal emptying of the dugout to celebrate every HR around homeplate. (ncaa games that is)

Is this any less bush league, and why don't pitchers put one in the earhole of the next batter?
