Patenaude resigns at ODU

I heard he had a illness in his family that he had to take charge of.
The head coach's response when asked about him doesn't give that impression:

Asked whether Patenaude’s departure was voluntary, Rahne remained focused on the future.

“At this point, I’m really more interested in working forward, and our kids are more interested in looking forward,” Rahne said. “I know you guys have got to ask the questions, and it’s something that we talked to our guys about.”

I guess though I can imagine some personal situations where the head coach might want to be coy about the reasons for resignation.

>Maybe you're right but I just think it's really hard to truly evaluate anything when the gap is that bad.
> We are heading into year four. The transfer portal makes it easier to close the talent gap. We should have a good idea where we are by the end of October. The OL and DL will determine our success.
I assume you put those two statements together because you think they contradict each other or something? I'm not even going to try to explain how they don't contradict each other and I will let you figure that out by re-reading them if you care that much. Even if they did contradict somehow, are you trying to win the internet or something? You care too much. By me responding maybe I care too much too? It's just a stupid football forum.
