  • GT would need to win the next 3 against UNC, VT, and UVA.
  • VT would need to lose to Duke or UVA
  • UNC would need to lose to Duke or NC State
  • Pitt would need to lose 2 of their last 4 among Miami, Clemson, Duke, and Syracuse
  • Miami would need to lose 1 of their last 4 among Pitt, UVA, NC State, and Duke
This would put GT atop the Coastal and into the ACCCG, likely in a rematch against Clemson. Beat Clemson, into Orange Bowl.

^ this sums it up. UVA *should* be a guaranteed win but don't us beating both of UNCheat and VPI. Here's to hoping our guys prove us wrong.

I like our chances better if Clemson, Louisville, and we win out, with CU and UL both getting into the playoffs and we get invited to the Orange Bowl as an at large. However, what probably would happen if CU and UL were selected in the CFP, the Orange would pick a school with a bigger fan base school, the Russell bowl would skip us too because we're dropping them at the end of the year, and Belk, well they only want Carolina schools. So SuN bOwl, bABY!

So for this week cheering for:
GT > UNC @ 12:30
Miami > Pitt @ 12:30 (although either one works)
Duke > VT @ 3:30

VT always seems to struggle against Duke. I could see that happening. Probably a coin flip with us and UNC. Pitt probably beats Miami. Here's to staying alive for one more week.

That's not as ridiculous as 2012 when we backed in. This seems somewhat plausible at least

Things I think are least likely to happen:
- Us winning out
- Pitt losing 2

UNC and VT will be tough, but are beatable. Pitt losing two is tough to see if Miami is in a death spiral. I can see one or sure, but two guaranteed is hard to see if they get past Miami.

that is a very fair shot. I agree that winning out is probably the least probable of all of those and that is a good thing. because we can certainly win out if jt keeps it up

If all of the aforementioned items happen, and we beat Clemson, does that effectively send Louisville to the playoffs assuming they win out?

If all of that happens, I'm pretty sure Louisville would also be obligated to give us a Lamar Jackson loan for 1 year, which I'll also take.

these are better odds than I would have expected. Too bad we lost to Pitt on a fluke play.
