Paul Johnson - For those "Boom MF!!" fans

Johnson won with Navy's athletes against Navy's schedule.
How'd the previous guy do at Navy?Charlie Weatherbie went 3-8, 5-7, 1-10, and 0-10 in his last 4 years. PJ turned that ship around almost instantly. And sure Navy's schedule isn't great but when you look at the solid teams they've played, Navy is usually competitive under Johnson.

Um, yeah? The guy's been coaching at NAVY. He won 2 (first year), 8, 10, 8, 9, and 8 games at NAVY. He's coaching players that are smaller and slower than almost all BCS conference schools and actually competing! Are you serious? You don't see the difference between him and Gailey?
Well if we payed CCG 1 million and this guy two then no I don't see that BIG of a difference. I said I thought he slightly better just not the one to replace CCG IMHO.
I think if we get PJ we shoulda kept Gailey based on the money factor.

One victory more per year would be worth that 1 million dollar difference, as long as it is the final regular season game.

Navy did better than we did this year against the two teams that we shared on our schedule.

Ok?

I thought when we got rid of CCG though it was because he couldn't make us an elite team. He DID make us a decent team every year. Hence the move for an elite coach.

I'm just saying I don't see PJ being that elite coach. I expected more and I don't think his TO is the type we need at Tech to build an excited fanbase or dominant offense.

I thought that Navy had to go down to the last few seconds to hold ND from scoring to secure the win.

GT beat ND easily in the first game of the season.

We actually had 3 teams in common. Duke led Navy going into the 4th quarter and Navy ended up winning by only 3, so I wouldn't say that was better than we did either.

Navy was playing a 260 pound O'line for the most part. Give this guy the talent we have and he will be a winner for sure. Trust me, I know everything.

beej67 never lets facts get in the way of a good post.

Trust me. PJ doesn't blame players for losses. He positively hates to lose, and puts the blame on every loss right on his own shoulders.
