It still didn't address the real point I was trying to make. My apologies for only implying it rather than explicitly stating it:
CCG was a passing offense coach, and his passing game sucked on the Flats.
O'Leary was a defensive coach, and his defense sucked on the Flats.
Just because Paul Johnson's Navy offenses don't pass much does not mean he won't ever pass on the Flats either. He has stated before that he would pass more with the right personnel.
Just like Jim Grobe passes a lot more now at Wake than he did before at Ohio.
Finally, Johnson's QB's are better at passing than ours are when they have to do it.
I am not a "hire Paul Johnson now or you suck!" advocate, I like RN and CH as well, but I think PJ is probably the most qualified candidate aside from the phrases "triple option" and "flexbone" giving you and some other folks hives because you assume the man is so stupid that he can't adapt at all, just as you assume that I and perhaps everyone who might choose to disagree with you is stupid.
