I think the biggest delusion that hivers have is that the fan base is split or polarized. The fan base isn't split at all. Most people want Gailey gone.
Their points are this:
1. We have had a winning season every year
2. We played in an ACC championship
3. We have been competitive
4. 7 wins was good because of flunkgate, NCAA probation, and injuries
It's a rather weak argument, but I guess these people are just moronically steadfast.
Actually it was a very good argument, up until this year.
Fo real. One would think it's a bye week when the Stingtalk > (the Hive + BBuzzoff)*2 threads start.Wow is there really nothing else to do today except for start stupid arguements on stingtalk?
Look, beej, I'm not going to get into it with you, but don't post things like "stop posting" and not expect me to reply.Look, Kyle, you're the one that got all personal with this. I've never been one of the people who takes issue with you, so if you've got some angst you need to vent, go vent on BOR or GeeTee. Leave me out of your internet psychodrama.

How is it that our ardent pro-Chan crowd are all psychics?Since the Hive is this and Buzzoff is that and Stingtalk is something else where do the delusional people who think Tech can win 10 games a year if they just get a new coach post? Seriously, how can a team that has 2 10 win seasons in the last 40 be considered on the verge of that?
I would like to have someone who will coach an offense I can stand to watch (without the 90's era 30 point defense to go with it) but the best scenario from a coaching change is somebody that can win 8 or 9 a year and leave after 3 or 4 for someplace more attractive. I already know the same people will be whining about him within 2 years so I wonder what's the point?
Another thought about this subject is that it's become more about winning the debate than what is best for Georgia Tech for the pro-Gailey crowd.
That's not even remotely true. Four or five buzzoffers doesn't make most of the anti-Gailey crowd and you know it. Drawing conclusions and making generalizations like that with no evidence is retarded. To be fair, it's been that way for the anti-Gailey crowd for years, to the point where a vast majority of them actually hoped for failure to get rid of him.

They've invested so much time and emotion into defending this guy that they are unwilling to accept that they were wrong and that their time was wasted. I suspect they know a change needs to be made but won't admit it.
In that sense they are very much like their golden boy, stubborn and arrogant.

There's like five Gailey supporters left. There are exponentially more anti-Gailey posters on these boards then pro-Gailey ones. It's just a little more accurate to draw a bead on a tiny group than a large one...Drawing conclusions and making generalizations like that with no evidence is retarded.

Count the posters in the threads. That's not generalizing. Take this thread for instance. I count 2 (possibly 3) pro-Gailey posters.Lol, and now you're defending your mass generalization by making another mass generalization?
