The god-damned problem is the entitlement displayed by the 2007 class. It has ruined everything about the program and continues to do so with rare exceptions.
The media, fans, and EVERYONE ELSE who will not shut up about one freaking class of student athletes as though they're gods is what allows it to continue to fester like a freaking cancer.
Winning the ACCCG WITHOUT any of the entitled, selfish, lazy, and egotistical God's class to GT football will go a loooooong way to ridding our locker-room of this cancer.
No other team deals with as much external negativity as this one. Think about it. Our own fans don't think the players are BCS-worthy. The local media doesn't think they're BCS worthy. We have people painting Chan ----ing Gailey as some knight in shining armor that can recruit heroes! It's not the athletes it's the god-damned effort!
I am sick and tired of hearing about Dwyer mouthing off when he's busy tripping over himself and fumbling against the freaking Cleveland...BROWNS!
I am sick and tired of hearing about players from the 2007 class hanging around the team locker-room talking ----.
That class beat UGA and won an ACCCG, and they think it's all because of them and the media, fans, opposing coaches, opposing teams, and opposing fans all agree. It's no wonder this team loses heart when it hits adversity, but we need a team of believers, and we need a TEAM. I wouldn't mind it if they did something cheesy like come out of the tunnel arm-in-arm for the ACCCG. Just show that you trust in each other to get the job done. There's no trust out there.
This school wears even the non-athlete down, and I fear that by the team they're upper-classmen, it's all about individual development, getting the degree, and then praying for luck in the workouts. We have become a stepping stone school, rather than a place people come to play and enjoy football and continue Tech's historic tradition on the gridiron.
