What

What negativity? We aren’t hiring Deion. Deion has chosen to take a job at a level of football about the equivalent of 7A high school ball. That was his decision. I’m not faulting him as he’s winning games but that conference is not relevant. Deion is smart and knew what he was doing by going there and using his son to win meaningless games. He knew the media would eat it up as they have. But everyone knows its meaningless.
Meaningless to whom? I think it has meaning to his teams fans and the fans of the team he is playing. Just because you don’t care doesn’t mean they are meaningless games.

He's done a good job of #1. #2 would be incumbent somewhat on the budget for a staff--will GT commit more funds for staff (as opposed to shopping on the scratch and dent aisle last time).

#3--is his time at UCF and the previous years at GT enough time to judge?

I am wondering what impact the team’s performance while at GT so far has had on his ability to land his top guys though. He has cleaned up in the transfer portal IMO but has struggled recruiting HS. Maybe if he wins 4 more games this season it will change. Looks like he’s gonna reel Fortson back in after the last two weeks

No kidding. 8U rec games are meaningful to some too but it doesn’t mean they matter. I like Deion. I’ve watched several SWAC games because of him. It’s terrible football. Good for their fans that they are winning. But don’t get it twisted, it’s not legit football no matter how hard the media pushes it.

Watching CBK in press conferences I would think he can recruit. Now the question is can he recruit 4 stars and the occasional 5 star athletes? I would love to have been a fly on the wall when G**** C****** was in a kid’s home making his pitch. Watching him in press conferences I just don’t see what attracted athletes to him but evidently he can sell. He sold TStan right out of a job.
As long as Kenyatta Watson is around, recruiting will be fine.

Saw this on Twitter today:

It's still way too soon to pull the trigger on Chadwell. If Key continues to do well and gets us to a bowl game, it would be hard to not go in his direction. I just hope it's not a situation where they prematurely make a decision to go with someone, only to see Key go on a run and get us to a bowl game, only for a decision to have been made prior.

If he keeps winning, I vote for key. Heck, he won a big game after being named the interim in the middle of the week. Again, collins’ recruiting wasn’t really that good. Look at the rankings on rivals. Key is not working with a plethora of high grade talent. That is a compliment to how hard these guys have worked and played and especially to key getting them ready.

It’s Deion or bust for me until the end of the season. I love BK.

I got Key number 1 until he proves other wise. If we win the Coastal and beat UGAg and/or Clemson in the ACCCG, we should hire him on the spot. But if we fall off, Chadwell is my number 2.

I do agree. Key is working hard and has shown progress we can actually see than GC did in 3 years. The man absolutely deserves a fair shot.

If the team continues to improve every week, and the deficiencies that we notice are addressed, then that is tangible evidence of coaching to me, which is like water to me after being lost in the desert. If we get to a bowl and win, then that would likely be enough for me to want to keep Key and see what he can do.

I do think that Chadwell would do great here, too.

I have no problem with Key, some make better Head Coaches then asst coaches. The players play hard for him that is a good sign. Who every is the head coach I will back them up, but at this time I would have to say Key has my vote. I just think if he does win 7 games which is 4 more than not letting him be the head coach will be sending the wrong message to the next head coach.
