He wasn't good at it and apparently doesn't want to do it again. Pittman went straight from OL coach to Head Coach, so it's not his only path to head coaching if he is interested in that, either.

Everyone is unhappy with the results but I still refuse to believe that Key has completely fooled everyone in college football into thinking he can coach an OL. We've been decimated by injury and starting guys who weren't ready or who never should have been in that position like Lay. Our depth sucked going in and it was well-known and widely discussed. He gets one more year and we are getting more bodies.

Yes. So then if he doesn’t realize how bad his OL is, he will get it when his play calling is getting blown up in the backfield.

There isn’t anyone I would be excited to see. Whoever it is has to win 5 and look good doing it or win 6+ to get another year. I suppose if we win 3, but score 40+ a game, the OC would get the HC job.

Remember when most of the doofuses on this board were excited for Brent Key?
I was one of those doofuses so you can blame me. I thought he was going to be an awesome addition to our staff. Especially since he flopped as an OC at UCF so seemed to accept his lot as an OL coach. Find me even 1 person on the planet who wasn't jacked to add BK as an OL coach.

But do I want to hand the entire offense to him? Not just no, but hell no. Its over his paygrade.

The O-line was his responsibility and that unit was terrible. Why would we want to expand his role to the whole offense?

I guess I'd be willing to give it a try, but he should be on a very short leash.

I say no but I have a feeling he will be our next OC & interim HC halfway through next season.

I couldnt find the öööö no option so I had to settle for No.

We now know that CBK & his Wife are members of Stingtalk, how else could he have garnered those 2 "yes votes" ?

   :rotfl: :lol2: :evillaugh::chad::naughty::naughty:

No way!

3 years is enough for our guys to play violent & aggressive on the OLine.

It doesn't take 4 years to teach OLs to play pissed and angry, we played soft, non physical FB on the OLine.

If he turned in this kind of effort at Bama, he would've been fired, at GT we give him hugs for these efforts.

Maybe if we had leaner more athletic OLs, maybe we have fewer injuries.

Good lord. How many of these assholes are there?
