I would love to write the job description for the OC.

"We aren't making many changes on defense, so ISO someone who can average 50 points a game."

Is a college coaching job something Indeed.com can help with?

This may very well be the last year of Geoff Collins on The Flats. Why not give Key a shot? Not much to lose. Perhaps we see he is a great play caller and very effective at game planning and adjustments. Maybe not. But, a great Coordinator is not coming in this year, unless they have been promised to be the new coach. I don't like that - bringing in a coach who is hoping the head coach gets fired. I know we did it with O'Leary, but It's not the best way to operate.

I was one of those dumöööös so you can blame me. I thought he was going to be an awesome addition to our staff. Especially since he flopped as an OC at UCF so seemed to accept his lot as an OL coach. Find me even 1 person on the planet who wasn't jacked to add BK as an OL coach.

But do I want to hand the entire offense to him? Not just no, but hell no. Its over his paygrade.
I don’t blame you or anyone, truthfully. I wish I had been wrong about this entire staff being the turds they are.

Unfortunately, his past history as an OC is really, really bad. He'd have us begging for Pnut to come back based upon past performance. Of course, coaches can improve quite a bit over their careers.

The bigger issue is that it looks like there is no plan right now, so Key might be the OC by default. Given the very public comments from the money men and the dreaded vote of confidence from the AD, it might require more money than it normally would to attract a candidate that isn't a flyer.

I think Key is the right guy. He is #2 in pay and we need to see if he can coach or not. He helped create the mess so now needs to lead us out of it.
To summarize:

You want CGC to "reward" CBK by helping him to fail upwards?

Never thought I would see the Day where GT Alums would agree to reward poor performance.
