Positives?

I thought our WRs looked good ( fast, quick, sure handed). I thought King looked good, but in addition to the pick and fumble, he could have had 2 more picks. I thought Cooley and Haynes looked good at RB, Smith not so good, Kick offs very good, punting good, but almost had a block. Tatum pretty good at LB. Nothing else stood out to me.

It was AMAZING that that one punt was not blocked. But not only did he get it off, IIRC, it was a boomer.

We’ve heard so much of these same words for most of the last 5 years
It is the first game and all- but there have been “ positives” in early games before and they amounted to nothing of significance.
I’m being negative, I know, but I’m just not going to excited by what’s been seen so far
I do hope I’m wrong because I like the coaching staff- but even if I didn’t, there’s nothing we can, should or will do on that front for years.

The defense played a good half
The offense played a great quarter
These are the most positive things I know to say

This. I’m sorry. We were on the verge of getting everything right and then responding to a collapse. It didn’t happen. I hope our team finds no positives in the outcome and turns it into something better. 1-0 staring at 3-0 just became 0-1 looking at 1-2.

There are going to be injuries every game. You have to be able to overcome that without giving up a games worth of points in a half.
And we have never had that depth, especially on the OL.

1. King looked good, remarkably good considering the Tech tradition of running for your life or trying to throw a pass with in a second and a half
2. The effort was there. Both lines of scrimmage looked they were prepared, but overmatched.
3. We were competitive, and we didn't have to put up with bs like money down, juice crews, ATL, or 404, or see Collins in skinny pants, steroids and short sleeves.
All in all, I think we should take what we can get
