Is there some ideological reason I'm missing why our offense cannot put a QB under center on the 1 yard line?
I assume they don't want to dedicate practice time to the center/qb exchange? I think its a suboptimal formation in short yardage situations as well, fwiw.

Louisville put up 690 yards of offense last night against Murray State, winning 56-0. Not much of a test, but at least Louisville didn't struggle and make us look bad from last week.
They are going to win a lot of games this year.

Even though both teams were rolling out new offenses, UL’s qb had 3 years in the Brohm system. The most important player on offense was completely comfortable (and receiving next to no pressure). They scored 39 on us. We scored 34 on them. Our O looked good considering.

Our D gets no such grace period. They are in year 5 of the system. Still no pass rush. Still very little halftime adjustments. Maybe Thacker needs to be up in the box.
But all of the talk on this board prior to the game was that UL’s new head coach was going to be a big detriment to them while our new head coach was going to be the reason why we were going to win.

Nobody said Brohm was going to be bad for Louisville. It takes a helluva coach to bring Purdue to the Big 10 Championship game.

Are you ööööing retarded or just an asshole?

Please provide examples of this

I never read that at all in this board.

Posters were writing that the new UL head coach didn’t know his players yet and that as a result of such that we would have an edge with Key. Why did Key state last season that his philosophy is to always stay aggressive with a lead?— but he did the opposite on Friday.

Our HC wasn’t able to bring in a guy with 3 years running his O. And our QB outplayed theirs.

We have reason to be hopeful. So does UL.

Regarding your first statement, if I didn’t explicitly post it, I certainly thought it. I had the same thought about Colorado - I was convinced that it is nearly impossible to get an OL full of guys who met for the first time less than six months ago to gel in the first game.

Regarding your second point, how many posts does it take to screw in a lightbulb? The answer is in this very thread.

The answer is that if there was anything you were spose to learn from the previous guy, it's to never take what is said in press conferences seriously.

Apologies if this has been pointed out previously but based on Louisville's schedule, they could very well end up in the ACCCG.

The only ranked team on their schedule is ND.

Louisville's going to win a lot of games this season if Brohm can keep Plummer's head on straight.
