Poster on Hive says it's RN

Gotta love this quote from the infractions comitee:

"this was a serious case in which a football coaching staff, led by the former head football coach, in a calculated attempt to gain a recruiting advantage, pushed beyond the permissible bounds of legislation, resulting in a pattern of recruiting violations."

And another regarding the nickel and diming nature of the violations:

The report noted that the pattern of violations caused the case to rise to the "major" level. A significant number of the findings involved contact with prospects, or "bumping," during non-contact periods in the Spring when only evaluation is permitted. "When viewed separately," the committee's report said, "each of these contacts might be considered secondary; however, taken cumulatively, they reach the level of a major violation."

So basically that's saying the staff contacted recruits during the "dead" period, correct? But texting them is ok, you just can't call them.

I heard RN is actually not sure about taking the job because we were on probation and he's not sure if he wants to be at a program with an electronic monitor around it's ankle. In fact, Dem is actually the Hall Monitor for the NCAA.

Maybe he has been censored for this

Maybe he actually has work to do and can't surf the board all hours of the day? I hear they are pretty busy over there at the AA these days...

His last post was at 12:50, and this thread wasn't started until after 2...

Give the guy a break. He posts info when he can...

That is nothing...that was the most minor thing he did.

The 51 documented NCAA infractions at Colorado is a good start.
His problems with the NCAA are not rumors...they were fact.

I don't think Neuheisel was responsible for those infractions, that was Gary Barnett. Neuheisel had a couple of infractions at Washington, but to my knowledge doesn't have a heavy history of being a scumbag.

I don't think Neuheisel is getting serious consideration. I just cannot believe that. Radakovich wants someone that knows and already understands the southeast recruiting trail and Neuheisel doesn't have that.

That possibly would not be a concern, if RN had Giff smith on his staff along with possibly Collins. That is why I liked Jimbo Fisher as he is an outstanding recruiter here in the South, but, evidently he is out of the picture now. I also liked Brian Kelly, but, as you say, I had reservations as to him being able to recruit the South.

But, if you think about it, IF Drad is seriously considering RN , he probably has figured into the equation about Southern recruiting and if RN would retain some Asst's from here. I also think Drad would consider that RN could pull in national recruits that the other candidates may not be capable of doing. Just some food for thought and I have some of your same concerns..

Read the NCAA Infractions report...and any of the articles referencing it. It specifically states the infractions happened at Colorado during his tenure.

RN is a step down from Gailey.

I have heard it all now..he is the polar opposite of Gailey.

And, I agree with Gtcrews that said Muschamp is the least qualified at least on paper of all the candidates mentioned. He is another Patrick Nix training on the job type.

That statement has no basis in reality.

He has never been an head coach..

That's literally the only thing the 2 coaches have in common, and honestly it's not enough. Muschamp has been a great DC at the highest level of college football. Nix is a joke.

Seriously, at some point in his career Mark Richt never had head coach experience. UGA really regrets that one.

His prior exp with the NCAA is a problem IMHO...Heck we get sh** canned for accounting classes not counting toward their major...

Did you notice the quote from Bilick? "He will be free to attend to his duties at Georgia Tech effective immediately." That sounds like a done deal to me. He names the school and uses the word 'will', not 'would'.
