c'mon man, you went to gsu, GSU; i really doubt you're smarter. I mean you cant read past the first definition.

classic bonehead trying to make someone look stupid

I think I'll do just fine with my GSU degree, and I didn't have to spend it around 17,000 guys

How would you know anything about GSU anyways?

Well Tech doesnt have even 17,000 students, and Atlanta is filled with beautiful ladies...

How would you know anything about GSU anyways?

I tutored some GSU dorks in math so they could learn how to figure out the number of points from the number of touchdowns, field goals and extra points

GSU, the Georgia State of Statesboro

Let me tell you something, BuzzCzar: You are not better than everyone who went to a school less prestigious than Tech. Judging by the things you say on these boards, you're not better than too much of anybody. Grow up.

I dont think he said he was better than everyone. He just said he's better than someone who graduated from GSU.

Besides, GSU boy was the one making stupid statements. Thus proving Czar's point.

I was kidding around with you. If you wanna get your panties in a wad, that's your business.

Czar is the only person I would genuinely be out to offend.

One of my pet peeves... people saying at the end of the talking "oh, I was just kidding around." As if they think they can defuse the situation and make the other person look unreasonable by taking it too seriously.

Just don't make the comments. Notice how most people here don't make them.

That would be a good point, were I not the type of poster that has proven they're kidding around pretty much all the time.

Who's taking it too seriously now?:fingersx:

It's the ****ing internet guys.

So here's the run down:

You tried to call someone out on something to make yourself look more intelligent and in actuality you were the wrong one. Your comeback to said wrongness (yes, it's a word look it up) was to argue that you were still smarter even though you were wrong. Therefore, Czar's point about GSU was upheld. And at the end of the day, you go/went to GSU and through your behavior you exemplified and further perpetuated a stereotype.

And I'm calm buddy. Your use of swear words would not indicate the same for you.

My use of that word is to indicate the amazement at how wound up you guys get over something so simple.

It's rather amusing in the end.

What is "[sic]"?

I most often see it attached to U[sic]GA, and have never known what it signifies....am I missing something obvious?

Here is a good explanation

"Sic" is Latin for "thus." Yeah, that didn't clear it up for us either. But apparently, since the 1880s, writers have used [sic] next to quotations that include errors. This little notation means, "Hey, I know this quote looks wrong, but it was that way when I found it, so don't blame me." Maybe the original text used archaic spelling or the original writer just messed up. But the person who's quoting that text is aware of the earlier mistake and wants you to know it.

[sic] means (typically during a quote or reprint of anothers work) that there is a typo but it was used b/c it was original source material, not the author's mistake

so, U[sic]GA infers that it is not really a University, as it is really just a typo

in this case, the poster was saying the same thing about Damarius's "girlfriend"

Thanks. I feel like I'm part of the inside joke I never got. :laugher:

Also, I may be using it a lot more now when referring to muttland.

Damrius masturbates. He doesn't have a girlfriend. Thank God!
