You think he wouldn’t have gotten a million dollars anywhere else? That’s cute.

Yes he wasn’t getting a million dollars to go to FSU or USC or wherever it was he committed. I know folks who are very close to the situation. Great kid though.

Ahhhh yes, a player who was 1 point away from being the 8th perfect prospect in ncaa history and could possibly be the first true two way player in football history WASNT going to get a million dollars wherever he went. That makes perfect sense when there are players making $8 million coming out of high school…

bottom line for this old tech head is we have to compete in classroom as well on field with out adversaries...........got to get help from academia to compete on the field....................just my take on it

I honestly don’t know how much being a “good recruiter” is going to matter moving forward. Deepest pockets are generally going to win out now.

That being said, I can’t imagine him being worse than what we have. So sure.
A lot of truth in this. Whoever is coaching at a place like Texas A&M, whether it’s Fisher or not, will now be able to reel in the best players. Explain how he got 5 star guys from all over the Southeast to come to A&M? Including a bunch of stud defensive players while he was in the midst of losing his DC…it sure wasn’t the wonderful championship tradition they have

Dude ain’t even making a mil, those close sources are real good for you huh @coit

First you say he is making more than a million, then you said he isn’t. Make up your mind.

I’m sure the kid turned down the multi-million dollar deal you claim he had to play for Deion.

What Sanders is doing at Jackson State is impressive. I wonder why successful black business leaders and celebrities would not consider encouraging the best athletes to attend HBCU’s. With NIL money they could make this happen. Let enough top athletes in football and basketball choose HBCU’s and the college sports landscape could change quickly. It would be an act of empowerment for the black community and could be a financial salvation to many of these schools that are struggling financially.

With the portal, NIL, and early leaving for professional opportunities, the landscape is changing. Why not leverage things for the benefit of the HBCU’s? I might enjoy the fresh change of watching Jackson State-FAMU or Grambling-Alcon State in a post season national championship playoff. Why couldn’t Morehouse or Howard stockpile first rounders in basketball as well as Duke?
You almost make it sound like voluntary resegregation is Techs only hope.

So you’re proving my point then lmaoooooo. Dude got Travis Hunter to commit to an FCS team that historically isn’t good at football. Nice one bud. And I figured he was making a million bc barstool offered him that much, and he turned it down.

So how's he doing there? Is he the projected starter even? Is he going to play both ways?

You guys saying you'd welcome Deion...please tell me you're not talking about as a HC. I'll need to know this, because I like to avoid idiots.
