Purdue fires head football coach Darrell Hazell

To be fair to Bobinski's (and prob really boosters') decision:

1. Purdue is #116 in S&P+, which means they have played worse than most Group of 5 schools. Purdue is tough, but has much more support and resources than the average G5 schools.

2. I forget the details, but remember hearing there were many "bad-looking" plays in the Iowa game where there were issues of basic execution, rather than talent differential.

The whole state of Indiana sucks at football. Notre Dame, IU and Purdue. They should stick to basketball and save the money they are throwing away on football.

Go Jackets!

At least we have the Colts....

.....nevermind.

Anyone else hearing Pitt's coach is at the top of Purdue's list?

On the firing - Bobinski would not ride in the elevator with Hazell, but he did post a "you're fired!" note in the elevator for him to read.

On the hiring - Bobinski knows whatever it is Sewak knows that keeps him employed. He hires him to lead Purdue. It goes down in history as the first thing he ever did well for Georgia Tech.

The first thing he did well for GT was resigning.
