Question for real football players with knowledge

All the people worrying about the 'transition period' to a new scheme or coach... I don't think there's any way to know how good or bad it'll be.

I recall when CPJ was hired, everyone thought our players were completely unsuited to the new scheme, and predicted horrible results. Instead, in 2008-2009 we had our best two year period under him.

So you can argue that our players not being very good will impact the next coach, but obviously that's a completely different argument.

People are looking at the transition GSU and Nebraska had. Option players, especially QB and OL, do not translate well to other schemes. The best fit is to a run heavy prostyle O. West coast and air raid are bad fits.

The best idea is to find parts out of juco. But GT continually sets up football for failure.

The one solace might be that a lot of new coaches might not see all of our QB's as being QB's

Buzz, in my opinion, no. Teaching new blocking techniques wouldn't be the problem. I think the bigger problem would be getting existing personnel to fit into a new system. I believe there would be growth pains, but that is the case in most coaching changes. we have to get players!
Thanks
