My parents got one of these calls at their house, but from the Obama campaign. I think those people need better calling sheets; making pitches to registered Republicans probably isn't going to bear much fruit.

One I could live with. Two I could understand. But four? And they were pretty much evenly spaced at 2 hours.

It didn't work. I voted for McCain.

I did no such thing. I quoted from and linked to the Amazon review of the book.

Besides that, neither the reviewer nor the author claims anything remotely like that. The point of the book is liberalism is far more facist in its actions than are conservatives, even though calling conservatives "Nazis" has been du rigor for the netroots crowd.

If you want to believe im an idiot for givin a correct definition(according to the dictionary) then go ahead but to say that Jesus is the antichrist is even more stupid than anything i said. by the way, the Christian "god" was assumed from Judaism, just ask Jesus, who was a Jew (and never converted). most of his teachings have been shown to come from the Essene (sp?) Jewish sect from when came the Dead Sea scrolls, which have been shown to contain many of the teachings that Jesus espoused after returning from parts unknown

i agree that its no laughing matter, but to say that this is the "liberal way" wtf are you talking about. the american nazis were all ultra conservative businessmen, now they are right-wing Xenophobes, liberal has very little to do with it. in fact, most Jews tend to be more "liberal" voting than "conservative". it is the ultra-conservatives that want to maintain "values" like whiteness and christiandom as key principals of the US, and other right-wingers like the Freedom parties of Europe (like our Libertarian party) who are full of neo-nazis. And further right-wingers like Iran's president who deny the Holocaust.

I never said what religion I was or what I believe your just assuming and im not trying to demonize anybody. My sociology professor pointed this out to my class one day and it has stuck in my brain since and i figured i would share while people were talking about it. If anyone's watching the coverage and is wondering why Georgia hasn't been called yet, it's because of the metro area. Only about 1/7 of Fulton county precincts have reported in so far, and Huckabee is running fairly well behind Romney and McCain in Fulton. He's also 3rd in DeKalb and Cobb, and second in Gwinnett. Those last three counties have reported about 2/3 - 3/4 of their totals; most of the rest of Georgia appears to have reported nearly 90-100% of their totals.

Just some amateur analysis there for you. Trying to add some substance to this thread.

The count was about 70% when I posted, it will obviously be constantly updating as time goes by; the networks are running about 10% ahead of this count.

If any of you actually want to read a legit book on how we arrive at totalitarian governments, pick up F.A. Hayek's Road to Serfdom (central planning leads to fascism).

If you want to understand what a free society looks like, read Nozick, Friedman, and Hayek until you can rip Rawls vision to shreds. Those folks are legit. Unlike some of the books/folks mentioned above.

Until then, for the first time, I hope visitors don't see this thread. It's an embarrassment.

p.s. If you are obsessed with the rapture/antichrist/etc you have serious issues. It's hard enough to try to follow Jesus without taking up the 19th century interpretations of the "rapture." The Jehovah's Witnesses are ready when you are.
