RIP Don Bessillieu (NFI)

On a better note, there was not a lot of competition, but a couple of years ago he was selected as the greatest Dolphin to wear # 46. So that's nice.

I'm probably in that photo somewhere - back when the students sat in the lower east behind the opposing team's bench...and the student section was crowded.

Is that the '78 game against the Irish? If so, I was in the press box covering the game for WREK.

I forgot until now that he was a backup safety on the 1981 version of the Dolphins "Killer Bees" defense which played the Chargers in the famous triple overtime playoff game at the Orange Bowl (I was at that game).

I was also at the 78 ND game lower east i think.
Saw all of his home games over 75-78
.
RIP Don. very sad, so young about 65 or so.
never met him, but remember him as one of the team stars
he was an excellent DB who also did some kickoff or punt returns.
I think he did the kickoffs in that 78 ND game and made a TD saving tackle during that game.
.
when did students get relocated? to an endzone i assume?
