We wish them all well!
Just out of curiosity I looked he was our leading receiver in CGC 1st season, then 4th in the second season. Now he is 11th on the cocks which may be one of the worst teams in the Sec, outside of vandy really getting NFL scouts attention thereIn Brown's own words, he couldn't make the NFL playing for a team like GT and needed to transfer to an SEC school so he could make his dream of playing in the NFL happen. He knew this was always the path.
And apparently he never noticed where Calvin Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, or Darren Waller played CFB
And no catches against any of the SEC teams on the scheduleJust out of curiosity I looked he was our leading receiver in CGC 1st season, then 4th in the second season. I prefer this sentiment over most of the ones in this thread. Kids are just trying to find their way in life. Thank God nobody had me under a microscope at that age - it would not have been a pretty site.We wish them all well!
Yeah sites when I was a kid were extremely primitive. HTML has come a long wayI prefer this sentiment over most of the ones in this thread. Kids are just trying to find their way in life. Thank God nobody had me under a microscope at that age - it would not have been a pretty site.
We need the space. He wasn't producing. Brown wasn't much of a loss either.I can’t add any intel to the discussion, but I think the frustration expressed here comes from not unrealistic expectations about a kid who was a high profile recruit, and 1 of the earlier (portal) successes for the new staff. We saw a 4* inbound transfer and thought the fit would be instant. I’m sure he expected more production for himself…no idea why it didn’t pan out but it all seems above board for now
Correct. Brown had very good speed, but his head/body control was incredible and he was able to run under deep balls. Most WRs in college need the QB to throw the ball within their path of movement to make a catch -- whkch makes connecting on a deep ball much harder.Brown’s better than average skill was his ability to adjust to the ball in the air. Graham’s throws weren’t all that great but Brown could often adjust and caught them anyway. He was fast, but most slot receivers are. He wasn’t a particularly good route runner and no better than average at 50-50 balls.
People make decisions for many reasons. It hard to say whether or not it’s a bad decision unless you understand the full situation (family, career, coaches, girlfriend, location, etc).He didn’t say he wasn’t. Great people can and do make bad decisions. So far this looks like a bad decision relative to the stated goal.
I wish he had stayed, dude was amazing catching the deep balls that Graham heaved out there in’19We need the space. He wasn't producing. Brown wasn't much of a loss either.
