Roddy Jones RIPS GT

Yeah, but Collins worked for him at both GT and UCF. TStan can't make this next hire because all he knows are Tech and UCF guys.

O'Leary was a great coach for us in his day, but in retrospect, maybe that last year at UCF should have been a red flag for us. Stansbury and Key may have had a hand in that 0-12 season ...

And Thacker was safeties coach at UCF that year. Jeff Sims' uncle Mike Sims-Walker was also on that 2015 staff.

He had a nice rant about Colorado being a nothing burger for past 20 years. And some no 5th don trash talk. Good man.

Holy crap. And now the end may come at the hands of UCF, as well.
Wait look after that 0-12 season SCOTT FROST IS THE ANSWER NATTY INCOMING

We know it wouldn't beat Duke though. No natty.
We know you’ve only recently woken up about Collins so….you don’t know öööö really do you?

It won an ACC championship, an Orange Bowl, and a bunch of other big wins. But like I said before, you still complained that success came with a high school offense. Damn you’re dumb.

Duke was outside their norm during that time. They were playing well and should have beaten aTm Johnny Manziel in the peach bowl. It's not like they were a normal door mat.

Wasn’t Marvin Lewis involved in the interviewing process? He was with the GTAA at the time.
Marvin was not involved.
Interview committee was TS and BP.
And I believe that was the extent of it.

It certainly came with a HS defense :lol2:

But it's gone now and you kids pining for its return is pathetic, as are the people wanting it back. You idiots who want to get PJ-favorite and dwag fan Taquon back here on the Flats for 4 more years don't know öööö about football.

You’re beyond stupid. I’m clearly on record opposed to Tech ever using a 3O offense again. I’m also on record agreeing that the weakness of the program under CPJ was defense primarily. None of those things change the fact that the 3O was hugely successful with a good QB under center and still competitive most years even when the QB position was lacking relatively.
You’re either really dumb or trolling. Pretty sure it’s the former.

Its weakness was recruiting, caused partly by PJLazy and partly by the fact that HS kids didn't want to play in the scheme.

The fact that we couldn't recruit a QB better than Taquon the dwag fan is proof.

Your "whiskey clear" handle must be due to the amount you've been drinking today. Put the bottle down and go to sleep, ya bum.

Let's clear a few things up.

I agree recruiting was not the best.

But I think we can agree that he also didn't have enough resources to do better in that department. Right out of the gate, CGC was given more resources and more exceptions as far as admittance without acceptance test scores academically.

Second, we were horribly unlucky with injuries at the QB position (and B-back) leading to an A-Back forced to play QB.

I think if PJ had more recruiting resources, the class rank would have been slightly higher, but more importantly, it would have allowed the coaches to find under the radar program changers such as Shaq, Gotsis, waller and so on. Add to that the fact that they were also great at developing players, it could have been special... But we never got to see it.

While I agree with your general statement, Waller was NOT a game changer in college. Even he has admitted as much. He didn't exorcise his demons until he left Baltimore.

Fair enough.

There were plenty of good ones though for us (Julian Burnett also comes to mind).
