Roof to Clemson

That’s what i was thinking as well... doesn’t seem to bring much in the way of coaching/on field stuff
He won’t be coaching or on field though. Ted has been around long enough that he can break down a team’s weaknesses and help build a game plan. Plus with Clemson level talent they will probably be able to actually execute what his analysis shows to be the best approach. He will be fine in that role.

Roof has the inside scoop on like 15 different programs by now

He and his wife must really like moving

What's the longest CGC has stayed at one location?

With both Roof and Cole Stoudt being added to the staff at Clemson, and Trevor Lawrence moving on, how may touchdowns should we beat Clemson by this year.

No. That's not his strong suit at all.

Probably when he was HC at Duke.

Clemson's Achilles heel has been exposed and its their defense. Its fine until you get up there against a top 5 opponent and then they just can't it done anymore. With their high recruiting rankings its kinda mystery.

I think you misread the question. What is the longest Geoff Collins has spent in one location?
There is no point AT ALL to bring Collins into a discussion of Roof unless you have some agenda you are trying to advance. In which case, go ahead and make your point without using Roof's empty resume as a crutch.

I do have an agenda. I hate the way this board dumps all over former players and coaches. Coaches tend to move around a lot; big deal.

Nonsense. I think I was pretty clear about my opinion of Ted as a person - I was acquainted with him while at Tech. But what am I supposed to do - pretend he's a good coach when its obvious he isn't? He had two cracks at it with his alma mater and he face-planted both times. As long as I live, I will never forget the look on his face when O'Leary grabbed that phone out of his hand. You want me to keep going?

I didn't realize you represent the entire board; but the ridicule about moving so much looks silly when you compare it to our current staff, or most other position coaches throughout the league.

I represent myself. No one else. I stand behind my posts in this thread. If you want to trash Collins and his staff, go for it but defend your position on the merits and not some sentimental nonsense about one of our own who couldn't cut it in the big leagues.

After reading the opening article, the hiring of a former head coach to Clemson sounds like an iron bell.

This man has been around the block a few times.. The lap time doesn't improve though.
Wow, he has seven one-year stints as a DC. I get that position coaches move around a lot but a coordinator should have more stability than that.
