Rueben Houston graduated....

Does anyone know how Reuben satisfied his degree requirements while suspended from school? Did he attend classes fall semester? Had he already completed necessary classes to graduate? Can a judge order a school to award a degree to someone who hasn't completed the requirements? If that is what happened, why didn't Clough appeal?

Did the AA require the athletes to "walk" at graduation? If not, it is interesting to me that RH would hold himself out to the public whispering by attending the ceremony, unless it really meant a lot to him to graduate.

I truly hope that RH got roped into this sting and that the truth is revealed and he is found innocent. Time will tell. Until the facts are revealed at trial I don't see any point in further character assasination on the web. That is unless you are just a couple of nerds with nothing else to do.

My understanding was that he attended classes the fall semester. My oldest son is a management major and had RH in at least one class this fall. I am assuming he met his degree requirements the old fashioned way ... he earned it in the classroom.

He was a 5th year senior so it was at least his 9th semester of classes at Tech, not including what he may have taken in the summers.

I find it hilararious that you acknowledge knowledge on the one hand while mispelling it on on the other. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugher.gif

This fleeting thought just occurred to me:

With everything that RH is facing, I find it pretty amazing that he was able to concentrate on anything but his legal troubles. If it were me, I would have been a nervous wreck.
(I'm a nervous wreck from Ga. Tech....hey, that could be a song!)

Ramblinwise, I too questioned how RH was able to complete his degree requirements.
At any rate, I would think that he would have to have had a pretty clear conscience to have graduated.
I certainly hope that was the case!
