Rumor is Renfree told Rad he would not come here....

Someone in the chat said Renfree has de commited, cited an anonymous source and said it would be public soon.

Too bad to lose him, I guess, but coach > any one player and it's not even close.
 
The last I checked he committed to GEORGIA TECH and not Chan Gailey.

Oh well. Commitments aren't worth a rat's ass until NSD in February.

I agree, but let's not bitch about any one particular recruit. Don't want to give any recruit or future recruit reading this board reason to think we have angry, bitter fans.

We should wait for them to get to campus before letting them learn that. :laugher:
 
Can't really blame him...He wants to throw the football 30+ times per game. I do think that he should have at least met PJ before making a decision...a little tacky if you ask me

Good point. He should at least allow PJ to pitch his system to him. But, he is taking the easy way out; pretty pathetic and not an attribute of someone who will be leading your team on the field.

CPJ said his first priority is recruiting and touching base with commits. Maybe after he's had a chance to talk with Renfree, Sean will be ok with coming to GT. I'll definately give this one some time.
 
I am glad that PJ is coming on board now. I fully expect some need for damage control on his part. You can bet that people like Geoff are licking their chops as we speak.
 
This just made the loss of Threet less of a disaster.

We really were going into 2008 with no semblance of a serviceable QB. Under the 2007 system, this problem has proven to be a disaster. Under PJs system it won't be nearly so critical.

Yeah, if you must crap on the guy can you wait for him to ACTUALLY DECOMMIT first?

I don't necessarily disagree with anything said in this thread, but this kind of talk helps GT in no way.

Nesbitt could be a perfect fit for PJ's system.
 
After all of the rumors that floated around the last 2 weeks you would think we would realize that at this point this is just a rumor. I an not a proponent of the "message board help recruiting," but some of the comments in this thread can not be helping. Let this thing play out.
 
I'd hate - really hate - to lose Renfree and hope he allows Coach Johnson to re-recruit him.

But, I'd hate it for the young man to miss out on all the winning we're fixin' to do.
 
That would stink...isn't he really mobile too? Maybe CPJ can convince him to stay. Pleeeasee stayyy.
