Let's stay positive about Mr. Renfree, even if he decommits. PJ will have until signing day to talk with Renfree about running his offense. If its meant to be it will work out. If the young man is not suited for running an option offense, we should have no ill will toward him for signing with a team that suits him. We are the ones who changed coaches on him and on this class.
Beginning with next year's class - believe me, there are more "athletes" playing QB in high school running spread offenses, flexbones, and other similar offenses. It will be easier to recruit athletes to run PJ's system than to recruit drop back QB's. And when you give an athletic QB his chance to compete and he does not make the grade, the athlete can help you at other positions in ways the drop back QB can't. This is why once a drop back QB in Chan's preferred style didn't win the job, they were quick to transfer.
