I met a general from the Tuskegee Airmen a few years ago at the Waffle House in Orlando.I met an Omaha Beach D-Day survivor about 10yrs ago. That was a very humbling experience.

Yes, he did. He was Lt. over a bomb disposal unit and had to search caves disarming the traps the Japanese had set. Saved a squad at one point, taking out 2 hidden enemy by himself in a cave. He was a Tech man. God bless him. I have his memoirs. All I can say is, "Wow! Semper Fi!"Oh the stories I bet he had... bless him for his service.
