You and literally every other program in the nation.

I'd be fine with Chadwell. I'd be more than fine, I'd be excited. But for me, if he only manages to get us to a consistent 8-9 wins a season, a winning percentage that only eight schools in the entire country have achieved consistently over the past decade, I won't be disappointed. I'll be really happy.
Were you really happy under Gailey?

It’s nothing against Key, it’s just that Jamey is an objectively better coach.
i follow defensive stats for fantasy football. noticed this recently. dead last in sunbelt pass defense:

No doubt, he’s got a terrible DC who shouldn’t even be a D3 coach. If we retain Thacker at DC, and have Jamey as HC, we would be unstoppable.

I get what you're saying, but I think that is a little unfair.

Coastal's defense has ranked around 90ish (according to ESPN FPI) under Chadwell , but Chadwell is 36-11 since he officially became HC. Under Collins, GT was ranked in the low 100s but went 10-28. At the end of the day, your defense needs to allow your offense to put up more numbers than the other guy. Also, it doesn't necessarily mean that it would be replicated here (same can be said of his offense, for that matter)

Something to consider: If Josh Downs catches that pass and we lose by 3, would people be talking about Key for next HC?

Or if Pitt intercepts one of the 5 dropped Ints or if Duke performs In OT? Yes they were wins but could just as easily gone the other way. Im not interested in 4-5 years of 6 win ball with a guy in stupid sweatshirt. No thanks

It’s interesting reading all of the various scenarios being painted regarding the what ifs, shoulda, woulda, couldas, etc, as well as the bitching taking place. Keep it up fellas. The entertainment value is priceless.

im not making inference or judgment either way. it just stood out when i ran those numbers. im open to chadwell or key at this point. if thats what the choices are.

I am enjoying this narrative that has suddenly materialized after CBK lands a huge win where Jamey will waltz in and push Heisman for best win % in GT history

I guess bama should have fired Saban after he lost to la Monroe in his 1st year. All teams have up and down weeks, those are the upset weeks. To use the FSU and Miami games as reasons to not hire Key , as well as the Pitt and NC games as reasons to hire him are both flawed IMO. Having said that, I think that he has done a remarkable job of salvaging a team that could have very easily laid down for the rest of the year. It’s obvious to me that the players are playing hard for him, and that he truly cares about them and the Institution, therefore he gets my vote ! Go Jackets!

Miami was most definitely close until Pyron got injured. We were only down 7 very late in the game, and driving then the end around interception happened right after Pyron injury.
Sad to say but the D quit after Pyron went down.

I am not sure about that. The Canes only had three offensive possessions after Pyron went down:

* First one started in their own red zone. They drove 37 yards and had to punt.
* Second one started at midfield. They drove 51 yards for a TD.
* Third one started at our own 34. They drove 34 yards for a TD.

I don't think giving up two touchdowns on short fields is an indication that the D quit. Their success this season has mainly come from managing to force turnovers or put together a big play or two stall drives. That's a lot less likely to happen when the O doesn't have to go very far for a TD.
