Looking forward to trying Estela's when I get up that way one day. I recommend Casa de Mexico in Byron Ga, just off exit 149. Been eating there since 1999 about twice a month or so....maybe more for close to 20 years.

Why did Texas fire Herman? Looks like to me his 2020 team was just a few points from going undefeated...

I imagine if there's a school that would fire someone for not winning by enough points, it would be Texas. I've never really disliked them, but that whole thing with their athletic department layoffs really rubs me wrong. College athletics can be really gross sometimes.

It was totally the major boosters. They run Texas: not the governor, the chancellor, the university president, or least of all the AD. Apparently Herman did not provide them with the desired level of oral gratification. It really is pretty much that simple. I doubt they will ever be able to land a true alpha coach like an Urban Meyer or even a Bob Stoops because a dude with those accomplishments is not likely to feel the need to get on his knees and assume the position. So they are going to continue to be stuck with sloppy seconds (or thirds!) like Sarkisian. I give him three years.

Nothing. I know not much about Texas, but it appears to be like one of those high schools where the mom and dads pull the strings, believing they are football geniuses, and sabotage the coaching staff in doing so
 
We’ll see in a few years if this was the correct choice. Of course Herman was the hot choice a few years back. Can’t believe Freeze wasn’t hired or did I miss it?
 
Sark never got off the sauce is what I heard....this will likely be a disaster.
 
Texas just stole Bama's special teams coach for . . .

$1 million a year for three years. $3.15 million total. JUST for special teams.

Anyone know what Tech pays its special teams coach? I'm guessing that it might be a tad less.

It's no secret that Texas throws stupid money at the football program but that whole debacle is run by boosters that think they know better than actual coaches/GMs.
