That schedule is probably the toughest I’ve ever seen for Tech. Open against the guaranteed #1 ranked team in the country. OOC games against Top 25 UCF, Top 15 Notre Dame and Top 10 UGAy. Plus a stretch of 4 out of 5 consecutive ACC games on the road. This is no Matt Rhule schedule.

Should be fun. At a minimum there are multiple opportunities for CGC to notch a signature win to further sell the trajectory of the program to the 2021 recruiting class.

Definitely tough, with ucf being very legit outside our normal suspects.

You might want to recall our 1980 schedule for tough comparisons. Played 2 teams ranked #1 when we played them, played #2 (i think) bama, clemson, uf, auburn, ut and highly ranked unc.

The day we played them i thought unc was the best team we played that year.

And, that day, Lawrence Taylor was the best college player i ever saw in person.

love the thursday opener so can go hunting on saturday and monday.

And for us CFB junkies .. get to watch games all weekend. Couple that with not having to sit in September mid-day heat .. winner-winner.

My only complaint about the Thursday night games is that the traffic can be terrible since the campus parking lots don't open until 5:00, but in September I probably don't want to tailgate earlier than that anyway. I might try to drive down earlier and have a pre-tailgate dinner at a bar in town.
