Searcy Scoring from every angle

I'm the context of WakeyLeaks, it is now obvious to me that this play got leaked to UGA. Even their linemen are staring at JT. The MLB ran himself straight out of the play.

Makes me wonder if it was a setup since the beginning.

I do remember Kirby Shart saying how they practiced specifically for that play, which always seemed odd to me since it's not exactly a typical play for us.

We've only run it once since Paul Johnson started coaching here. I figured Shart was lying to save face, but Johnson said in the AJC today that they did have some high school coaches in to watch practice that week.

Dude, seriously. Go to 1:07 of this video and watch what UGA # 51, 45, 17, and 24 do. 45, the boundary ILB is literally sprinting the opposite direction of Qua before he ever shows pass to try and cover up Justin. As soon as Qua pulls up, 51 (the DE) literally turns his back to him looking for Justin Thomas. UGA stole this play and practiced against it.

Prob the most excited I've ever seen CPJ on the sidelines. Love it!

The overhead view where the defenders all collapse on Qua simultaneously as he dives into the end zone is sublime.

"WakeyLeaks" :lol2:

Seriously, how about not letting HS coaches watch practice the week of the UGA game? Seems like a stupid risk to take.

So, let me get this straight, they not only consulted BVG, but also the most proficient runners of this offense - high school coaches - and still couldn't beat us?

Man, they suck.

Next time they should try to talk to Andy Demetra if they really want to stop us!

We also ran the triple option on every play of our first TD drive, and almost every play of our second drive. They couldn't stop it.

#3 also takes himself completely out of the play watching JT.

The high school coaches comment was about when he was coaching at Navy and he suspected Texas Tech stole a play from practice.

He's in, He's in, He's in! May not be Gaudin but i like the passion. Could see Demetra being our play by play for decades to come

As I'm sure a lot of folks did, I noticed on the replay how the Ugag defenders had JT covered like a blanket and thought - how the hell did they know to cover JT before Qua even set his feet to throw?

I could be wrong but I don't recall ever seeing CPJ run a trick play inside the 20. He might goof around between the 20s but in the red zone, he's all business. Ugag was definitely on the lookout for that.

I'm going to go back and re-watch the game to see if CPJ calls that play straight up earlier in the game without the pass option to see if Ugag bites on anticipating the fake. If so, I'm sure CPJ noticed and was waiting to bait them into the fake version of the fake it at just the right time.

But I'll go ahead and admit that I'm glad Qua didn't pass the ball - the play had him throwing against his body and he likely would have overthrown JT anyway.

Lastly, on a sad note, web cam footage from Sanford and Son stadium shows that every night since the game at exactly 11:59:30, #3 slowly walks out to the 4 yard line, spends a few minutes looking for something he apparently lost during the play, does not appear to find it then slowly walks back out of camera range.
