Searcy Scoring from every angle

Yeah, this points to two issues:

1) They knew the design of the play
2) They knew we were going to run it ON THAT PLAY

Intelligence from high school coaches before the game wouldn't have helped with issue 2). Almost seems like UGA was stealing the play call on each play. With the way we shuttle in plays, it would have to be either a hacked headset or someone lip reading CPJ as he spoke to his A back.

We called a TO before the play. So my guess is they thought we might try something fancy out of the TO and had this play in hand as a possibility if we faked rocket toss. And then Kirby tried to cloak the fact that they had somehow stolen the play by saying it's an important play in our offense that they had game planned for (despite the fact that we haven't run it in at least 4 years).

Elbows too pointy, and why must she carry around her dildo. Was she doing a presentation there. She looks frustrated.

Agree it was a bad playcall. It didn't work as designed (whether due to cheating or whatever). PJ basically said Qua was supposed to run it if the pass wasn't there. So Qua's run was the same as a QB scrambling if nobody's open. #3 for UGA turned his head at the wrong time, else he would've been in great position to stop Qua, and Qua made a great individual play. But I suppose people will romanticize it.
A good call is one that works. A brilliant call that doesn't work is crap.

He's in, He's in, He's in! May not be Gaudin but i like the passion. Could see Demetra being our play by play for decades to come
I don't know. He's had a couple big calls already. I'm guessing he'll get snatched up by a national broadcast organization sooner than later. We have that affect on radio guys.

Dude, seriously. Go to 1:07 of this video and watch what UGA # 51, 45, 17, and 24 do. 45, the boundary ILB is literally sprinting the opposite direction of Qua before he ever shows pass to try and cover up Justin. As soon as Qua pulls up, 51 (the DE) literally turns his back to him looking for Justin Thomas. UGA stole this play and practiced against it.

What? They didn't "steal" the play at all.

Georgia lines up in a modified 3-4. The OLBs (#17 and #7) line up down on the LOS, and the FS (#20) and SS (#24) pull down to take the places of the OLBs. The corners (#2 and #14) pinch in because our receivers are bunched in tight.

The SS (#24) is in man / spy coverage on JT, the ILB (#45) is in man / spy coverage on Dedrick Mills. Immediately post snap, #45 slides to the right to shadow Mills and points to JT, reminding #24 of his assignment. #17 is the OLB that shifted down to the line of scrimmage, and he somewhat covers Brad Stewart at first. #2 is an excess player, because #17 is covering Stewart. Stewart runs a route, shedding #17 and blocking #45. JT is covered by #24 and then #2 after they follow Searcy eyes when he sets to make the throw to JT. Once Searcy tucks it and runs, all of those guys are out of position because they followed his eyes.

We actually had the numbers on them on Searcy's half of the field. If everyone had successfully picked up a block, Searcy would have walked in untouched. It was 6 Tech guys (plus Searcy with the ball) and 5 UGA guys on that side of the field.

I really don't think they stole signals on this play.

You don't believe Smart when he said that they practiced against that play all week?

The play we have never run with JT5 according to CPJ?

I believe Shart is an idiot and did not want to say that "my guys were out of position" when Searcy scored and/or "we lucked into defending a trick play we weren't prepared for". @MTrain is probably right, but who the hell knows.

I hope you get a tin foil hat for Christmas.

All of the GT players on the right side were definitely in pass protection. If you're a d-lineman or linebacker thats been getting cut or cracked all day on the toss and now all of the sudden you're being pass blocked, then you know something is not right. My guess is as soon as they saw GT in pass protection the sensed it was a pass and not a run... The big question for me is to determine if Qua was only faking the pass or if he truly intended to pass it but decided not to. He never brought the ball above his shoulders and he made a REALLY quick decision to keep it. The only other thing to me was that if it was a "fake pass, planned keeper" then why did the o-linemen on the left side no continue clearing out the middle. They sort of quit blocking and looked back at Qua. It if was truly a called fake, you would think they would have held their blocks or found a new one... Maybe PJ told Qua at the last minute to keep it, but did not tell anyone else to make the fake appear as real as possible... Either way, I dont think UGA knew the play, I think they just reacted quickly once they realized they were being pass blocked...

Also, props to Freddie Burden. Pretty sure he seals off the UGA player creating a lane for Qua. Without that heads-up block, I dont think Qua scores...

It's almost like we planted this play with the HS coaches so we could get the middle opened up when the UGA defenders went to cover the QB. Way to use those back-stabbing coaches for our own bidding!
