Who cares...
+1. It's fun to poke at the "quality" human beings the SEC factories sign, but when it requires effort it's really quite pathetic.
Football players are aggressive, they're hostile, and they don't look beyond today, so what do you expect?
It's also not apples to apples.NFL arrest rate is only 2.2 percent. Far cry from > 33%, and these guys are every bit as aggressive and hostile as college players. The key difference here may be self-discipline. Would be interested to see the arrest rate across all BCS football.

By age 23, almost a third of Americans have been arrested for a crime, according to a new study that researchers say is a measure of growing exposure to the criminal justice system in everyday life.
It's also not apples to apples.
The number they are quoting Florida is getting arrested over a longer period. I think it's more comparable to this statistic:

Since 2000, the San Diego Union Tribune has found 573 NFL players arrested for things bigger than speeding. That’s an arrest rate of 1 in every 45 players.
The average NFL career is something like 3 years, so it's checking if they got arrested in those 3 years and not outside that. The number from my article is over an eleven year period, from 2000 to 2011 so I'm not sure it's all that different (you have to click through to another link to get to that detail though.)
Still not totally apples to apples because I'm guessing the Florida number will contain several arrests of players who are no longer in football, but I don't think the difference in the two statistics is big enough to completely explain away the disparity.

The answer is 41. Read the article. Pretty sad thats what it takes to win BCS Championships these days.

Whereas, the Florida one is a large chunk of players' adult/teenager life. More comparable to the 23 year old stat.
Who hasn't been arrested?
